We all need to get on Mollie Coddled’s ‘Wavelength’

Releasing her most recent single ‘Wavelength‘ on June 18th, this song has become a staple on my playlists and a bop to dance and get ready to in the morning. Mollie Coddled’s track has been featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds UK & Ireland playlist. Set to tour the North of the UK across September and October 2021, and heading to the stage at Liverpool Sound City, she’s one you don’t want to miss out on!

Radiating cool bedroom pop, Mollie Coddled masterfully portrays the generational issues of social media being integrated within everyday life and the need to disconnect from online distractions and re-connect with nature, and how this changes the ways in which we make friendships and meaningful relationships. With cleverly composed yet beautifully brash lyrics, “I try to make friends but I don’t fit in, Cause we don’t like the same shit” jumps out as relatable as a lyric can be for most of us.

Dreamy harmonies lace this track, with catchy AF vocal hooks and relaxing flourishes from the clean guitar. With just the right amount of gentle percussion and wavy synth ‘Wavelength‘ makes for a groovy listen, grounded by the simplicity of the multi-tonal bass and down beat tempo that oozes days in the sun by the beach and vibing in the sea.

Paired with the DIY video, Mollie successfully spreads feel good vibes and super fun sparkles, whilst topping it all off with a smart sarcasm that makes Mollie Coddled iconic. Being deemed the hottest ticket of the week by BBC Introducing North East & Yorkshire, this artists performances are as glitter filled as her recordings.
